| It was a beautiful evening at "The Park" as the CCV Blues hosted the La Crosse 35er's in a non-league game on Fan Appreciation Night. An enthusiastic crowd enjoyed a night a good baseball, special food and drink prices and many give-a-ways as the Blues defeated the 35er's 11-4. It's always nice to have the 35er's come back to Coon Valley, as some of them played for Chaseburg-Coon Valley during their early playing days and reminiscing is part of the evening. Mike Tolvstad picked up the win for CCV going 7 strong innings, giving up only 1 run while striking out 9 and walking only 1. Big bats for the Blues were Adam Wershofen 3-5, Jay Fanta 3-5 (2 2b), Adam Husing 3-5 (hr), Ryan Fahey 2-4 (2 2b). This ended the regular season for the Blues and they begin WBA District play on Saturday at Abbotsford against Ashland. |
